जगत्य उपशमं याते नष्टयज्ञॊत्सव करिये आजग्मुः परमाम आर्तिं तरिदशा मनुजेश्वर ॥ ३-१००-१६ ॥

sanskrit

'And, O lord of men, as the universe faced destruction and the sacrificial festivals and religious rites were suspended, the gods were profoundly troubled.' ॥ 3-100-16 ॥

english translation

jagatya upazamaM yAte naSTayajJòtsava kariye AjagmuH paramAma ArtiM taridazA manujezvara ॥ 3-100-16 ॥
