Others are short-lived: humans, beasts, and birds; and those other beings born in non-human wombs, remembered as moving through the world of living creatures.

english translation

Most often, kings—having enjoyed prosperity—at the end of their lifespan proceed to death, to experience the consequences of their meritorious and non-meritorious deeds.

english translation

Therefore you should here make peace with Dharmaputra; let the Pāṇḍavas and the Kurus together govern the earth.

english translation

O Suyodhana, you should not think merely, ‘I am strong.’ For the strong are seen to be overcome by those who are stronger, O bull among men.

english translation

O Kaurava, one’s strength does not remain ‘strength’ among the strong; for all those Pāṇḍavas are powerful, possessing prowess like that of the gods.
