Sahaja among the Cedi–Matsyas, Bṛhadbala among the Pracetās, Dhāraṇa among the Indravatsas, and Vigāhana among the Mukuṭas—these too are enumerated by name.

english translation

And Śama among the Nandivegas—such men are called the “dust of their lineages”: at the end of an age, O Kṛṣṇa, they arise within families as degraded men.

english translation

Thus it is as though this Duryodhana has arisen for us Kurus at the end of an age, brought forth by Time—an “ember” that scorches the lineage, a base man stained in conduct.

english translation

Therefore address him gently and by degrees, with counsel grounded in dharma and artha; emphasize the consequences that follow in the wake of desire, and do not assume a harsh, confrontational stance.

english translation

Even if, O Kṛṣṇa, we all must live in a diminished state, we would still follow Duryodhana with humble deference—only let the Bhāratas not fall to ruin.
