संजय उवाच । न त्वां ब्रूयां रहिते जातु किंचिदसूया हि त्वां प्रसहेत राजन् । आनयस्व पितरं संशितव्रतं गांधारीं च महिषीमाजमीढ॥५-६५-६॥
Sañjaya said: I would not tell you anything when you are alone, O king, for suspicion might overpower you. Summon your father, steadfast in his vows, and also Queen Gāndhārī, O descendant of Ajamīḍha.
english translation
तौ तेऽसूयां विनयेतां नरेन्द्र धर्मज्ञौ तौ निपुणौ निश्चयज्ञौ । तयोस्तु त्वां संनिधौ तद्वदेयं कृत्स्नं मतं वासुदेवार्जुनाभ्याम्॥५-६५-७॥
Those two—knowers of dharma, skilled and discerning in judgment—will dispel your suspicion, O lord of men. In their presence I will state to you in full the considered position of Vāsudeva and Arjuna.

वैशंपायन उवाच । ततस्तन्मतमाज्ञाय संजयस्यात्मजस्य च । अभ्युपेत्य महाप्राज्ञः कृष्णद्वैपायनोऽब्रवीत्॥५-६५-८॥
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Then, understanding that intention of Sañjaya and of his son as well, the highly discerning Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana (Vyāsa) approached and spoke.

संपृच्छते धृतराष्ट्राय संजय आचक्ष्व सर्वं यावदेषोऽनुयुङ्क्ते । सर्वं यावद्वेत्थ तस्मिन्यथावद्याथातथ्यं वासुदेवेऽर्जुने च॥५-६५-९॥
(Vyāsa said:) Since Dhṛtarāṣṭra is questioning you, Sañjaya, relate everything to the extent that he inquires. Report all that you know of that matter—accurately and in accordance with the facts—concerning Vāsudeva and Arjuna as well.
