For if Agni and Vāyu, Dharma, Indra, and the Aśvins were to act under the influence of desire, the Pārthas would not have encountered suffering.

english translation

Therefore you should never entertain this anxiety; for these matters, O Bhārata, are perpetually dependent upon the divine order in enduring conditions.

english translation

But if, due to association with desire, aversion, and greed, divine authority is perceived among the gods, even that authority will not prevail.

english translation

When invoked by me, Jātavedas (Agni) continually expresses approval—though capable of consuming all worlds after encompassing them on every side.

english translation

Or, whatever the supreme radiance by which the celestial beings are endowed—know, O Bhārata, that I too possess an incomparable radiance, even exceeding that of the gods.
