न ह्यहं युद्धमिच्छामि नैतदिच्छति बाह्लिकः । न च भीष्मो न च द्रोणो नाश्वत्थामा न संजयः॥५-५७-६॥
For I do not desire war; Bāhlika does not desire it either. Nor do Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Aśvatthāman, or Saṃjaya desire it.
english translation
न सोमदत्तो न शल्यो न कृपो युद्धमिच्छति । सत्यव्रतः पुरुमित्रो जयो भूरिश्रवास्तथा॥५-५७-७॥
Neither Somadatta, nor Śalya, nor Kṛpa desires war; likewise Satyavrata, Purumitra, Jaya, and Bhūriśravas.
english translation
येषु संप्रतितिष्ठेयुः कुरवः पीडिताः परैः । ते युद्धं नाभिनन्दन्ति तत्तुभ्यं तात रोचताम्॥५-५७-८॥
Those on whom the Kurus would have to rely when pressured by others do not approve of war. Let this be acceptable to you, dear one.

न त्वं करोषि कामेन कर्णः कारयिता तव । दुःशासनश्च पापात्मा शकुनिश्चापि सौबलः॥५-५७-९॥
You are not acting from your own independent judgment; Karṇa is directing you. And so too Duḥśāsana—of harmful disposition—and Śakuni, the son of Subala.

दुर्योधन उवाच । नाहं भवति न द्रोणे नाश्वत्थाम्नि न संजये । न विकर्णे न काम्बोजे न कृपे न च बाह्लिके॥५-५७-१०॥
Duryodhana said: I do not place the responsibility upon Droṇa, nor upon Aśvatthāman, nor upon Saṃjaya; nor upon Vikarṇa, nor upon Kāmboja, nor upon Kṛpa, nor upon Bāhlika.
