Even by the sound of Savyasācin’s chariot, that large Bhārata host appears to me as distressed by fear and thrown into alarm.

english translation

As a fire, grown intense and moving in all directions—its great flames driven by the wind—consumes dry brush, so likewise will he consume my people (the Kauravas).

english translation

When Kiriṭin (Arjuna), the relentless warrior, looses volleys of sharpened arrows in the press of battle, he becomes hard to restrain—like Antaka (Death), the all-seizing power, set in motion by the Ordainer.

english translation

For again and again, in many forms, I hear those reports within the Kuru residence; and from every side—also at the battle’s front—it seems the Bharata line is drawing near to depletion.
