One who does not share, whose nature is corrupt, ungrateful, and without moral restraint—such a fallen man should be shunned in society, O ruler of men.
english translation
He does not sleep peacefully at night—like one who shares a house with a serpent—who, though himself at fault, provokes an innocent person within his own circle.
english translation
O Bhārata, when one’s security and welfare may be harmed by hostile men, one should continually seek to appease them—just as one would act toward powerful deities.
english translation
Resources that become excessively entangled in sensual pursuits, or are spent on impulsive first urges, and those bound to ignoble conduct—all of these fall into uncertainty and loss.
english translation
Where a woman, where gamblers, and where a child exercise governance, such lands sink into helplessness—like stone boats in a river.
