सवस्तयः सशृङ्गाश्च सप्रासविविधायुधाः । सकुठाराः सकुद्दालाः सतैलक्षौमसर्पिषः॥५-१५२-७॥
They had waist-belts and horned ornaments, spears and diverse weapons; also axes and spades, along with supplies of oil, linen, and ghee.

चित्रानीकाः सुवपुषो ज्वलिता इव पावकाः । तथा कवचिनः शूराः शस्त्रेषु कृतनिश्रमाः॥५-१५२-८॥
Their formations were variegated and their appearance impressive, as if blazing like fire; likewise, armored heroes were present, well-trained and practiced in weapons.

कुलीना हययोनिज्ञाः सारथ्ये विनिवेशिताः । बद्धारिष्टा बद्धकक्ष्या बद्धध्वजपताकिनः॥५-१५२-९॥
Well-born men, knowledgeable about horse-breeds, were appointed as charioteers; with protective bindings secured, waist-belts fastened, and standards and banners fixed in place.

All the chariots were four-yoked and fully furnished with weapons; all had spirited teams, and all carried bows with hundreds of arrows.
