अहं च क्षत्रियो जातो न प्राप्तः क्षत्रसत्क्रियाम् । त्वत्कृते किं नु पापीयः शत्रुः कुर्यान्ममाहितम्॥५-१४४-६॥
Though I was born a Kṣatriya, I did not obtain the recognized rites and dignities of the Kṣatriya order. Because of you, what greater harm could an enemy have done to me?
english translation
क्रियाकाले त्वनुक्रोशमकृत्वा त्वमिमं मम । हीनसंस्कारसमयमद्य मां समचूचुदः॥५-१४४-७॥
At the time when action was required, you showed me no compassion. Now, at a time when I lack the formative rites, you seek to persuade me.

न वै मम हितं पूर्वं मातृवच्चेष्टितं त्वया । सा मां संबोधयस्यद्य केवलात्महितैषिणी॥५-१४४-८॥
Previously you did not act for my welfare as a mother should. Now you instruct me, seeking only your own advantage.

कृष्णेन सहितात्को वै न व्यथेत धनंजयात् । कोऽद्य भीतं न मां विद्यात्पार्थानां समितिं गतम्॥५-१४४-९॥
Who indeed would not feel apprehension of Dhanaṃjaya when he is accompanied by Kṛṣṇa? Who today would not deem me fearful, were I to go to the council of the Pārthas?

अभ्राता विदितः पूर्वं युद्धकाले प्रकाशितः । पाण्डवान्यदि गच्छामि किं मां क्षत्रं वदिष्यति॥५-१४४-१०॥
Formerly I was known as one without brothers; in the time of war that has become plain. If I go to the Pāṇḍavas, what will the warrior order say of me?
