If your sons, greedy for what belongs to the Pāṇḍavas, forsake their own true good—and if they persist in that resolve—then Yudhiṣṭhira’s purpose will be fulfilled by the inevitable outcome.

english translation

Indeed, even today, O Bhārata, if I were to restrain these men—and those who follow them—and hand them over to the sons of Pṛthā, what wrongdoing would that be?

english translation

But I would not undertake, O Bhārata, in your presence, O great king, this censurable deed—born of anger and of a sinful, distorted intent, contrary to dharma.

english translation

Let it be, O King, as Duryodhana wishes; but I, O Bhārata, consent to all the agreed conditions—to fair terms and rightful settlements.

english translation

Hearing this, Dhṛtarāṣṭra addressed Vidura: “Quickly bring Suyodhana—that blameworthy man, greedy for sovereignty.”
