What have we done to them, and in what matter is there again an offence? The Pāṇḍavas, together with the Sṛñjayas, seek to destroy the Dhārtarāṣṭras.

english translation

Nor are we, frightened by harsh deeds or words, to bow here out of fear—even before Śatakratu (Indra).

english translation

And I do not see, O Kṛṣṇa, any practice of kṣatriya-duty by which one could hope to defeat us in strategic engagement—O subduer of foes.

english translation

For Bhīṣma, Kṛpa, and Droṇa—together with their forces—cannot be conquered in ordered battle even by the gods, O Madhusūdana; how much less by the Pāṇḍavas.

english translation

If, O Mādhava, we uphold our own dharma in armed conflict, then should death by weapons come in due time, that itself will lead us to heaven.
