शल्यसंपीडितंशस्तंनिःश्वसन्तंतुंलक्ष्मणम् । रामस्तुदुःखसन्तप्तंतंतुनिःश्वासपीडितम् ॥ ६-९२-११
Lakshmana was feeling tormented by the arrows that had penetrated into his body. He was wounded and breathing hard. [6-92-11]

मूर्ध्निचैनमुपाघ्रायभूयःसंस्पृश्य च त्वरन् । उवाचलक्ष्मणंवाक्यमाश्वास्यपुरुषर्षभः ॥ ६-९२-१२
Smelling once more the head of him (Lakshmana), Rama the foremost among men, was afflicted with agony and was feeling pained at the time of respiration, and hurriedly stroking him as well as restoring confidence in him, spoke as follows. [6-92-12]
english translation
कृतंपरमकळ्याणंकर्मदुष्करकर्मणा । अद्यमन्येहतेपुत्रेरावणंनिहतंयुधि ॥ ६-९२-१३
"You have done an extremely beneficial task which is difficult for others to do. I think Ravana is killed in the battle with your action of killing Indrajit." [6-92-13]
english translation
अद्याहंविजयीशत्रौहतेतस्मिन् दुरात्मनि । रावणस्यनृशंसस्यदिष्ट्यावीरत्वयारणे ॥ ६-९२-१४
"As that evil-minded enemy has been killed in battle, I become victorious. O valiant (Lakshmana)! Fortunately, by you, the cruel Ravana's . - [6-12-14]

छिन्नोहिदक्षिणोबाहुः स हितस्यव्यपाश्रयः । विभीषणहनूमद्भ्यांकृतंकर्ममहद्रणे ॥ ६-९२-१५
- right hand has been severed. He (Indrajit) was indeed the support (for that Ravana). Vibheeshana and Hanuman too performed a great feat in the great battle." [6-12-15]
