तेनसिंहप्रणादेननामविश्रावणेन च । ज्याशब्देन च भीमेनत्रासयामासवानरान् ॥ ६-७१-६

By that lionroar, and proclamation of his name (by the sound of the twang) frightening the Vanaras he struck terror. ॥ 6-71-6॥

तेदृष्टवादेहमाहात्म्यंकुम्भकर्णोऽयमुथतितः । भयार्तावानरास्सर्वेसंश्रयन्तेपरस्परम् ॥ ६-७१-७

Those Vanaras seeing the huge body thought, "This is Kumbhakarna, who has got up and come'. Out of fear, they sought the help of one another. ॥ 6-71-7॥

The Vanara troops, observing his form resembling the Trivikram form assumed by Vishnu, the monkey troops fled here and there in panic. ॥ 6-71-8॥

तेऽतिकायंसमासाद्यवानरामूढचेतसः । शरण्यंशरणंजग्मुर्लक्ष्मणाग्रजमाहवे ॥ ६-७१-९

The Vanaras were deluded on reaching the huge body and sought refuge with the one who is the refuge of all, the elder brother of Lakshmana. ॥ 6-71-9॥

तोऽतिकायंकाकुत्स्थोरथस्थंपर्वतोपमम् । ददर्शधवनिनंदूराद्गर्जन्तंकालमेघवत् ॥ ६-७१-१०

Then Kakutstha saw from a distance form of huge body looking like a mountain on the chariot, wielding bow, rumbling like a cloud at universal destruction. ॥ 6-71-10॥
