आक्षिप्ताःक्षिप्यमाणाश्चभग्नशूलाश्चवानरैः । पुनरङ्गैस्तदाचक्रुरासन्नायुद्धमद्भुतम् ॥ ६-६९-५६
Vanaras, were lifting and dropping the scattered Rakshasas, breaking the tridents and a wonderful war went on using their limbs. [6-69-56]

वानरान्वानरैरेवजघ्नुस्तेनैरृतर्षभाः । राक्षसान्राक्षसैरेवजघ्नुस्तेवानराअपि ॥ ६-६९-५७
The bull among Rakshasas struck at Vanaras with other Vanaras and the Vanaras struck Rakshasas with other Rakshasas. [6-69-57]

आक्षिप्य च शिलास्तेषांनिजघ्नाराक्षसाहरीन् । तेषांचाछचिद्यशस्त्राणिजघ्नूरक्षांसिवानराः ॥ ६-६९-५८
Then, grabbing the rocks and mountains, those Rakshasas struck the monkeys with them. The Vanaras too, snatching away their weapons, struck the Rakshasas. [6-69-58]

निजघ्नुश्शैलशूलार्स्सैर्भिभिदुश्चपरस्परम् । सिंहनादान्विनेदुश्चरणेराक्षसावानराः ॥ ६-६९-५९
In the battlefield both Vanaras and Rakshasas struck at one another with their head, rocks and swords and emitted lion roar. [6-69-59]

छिन्नवर्णतनुत्राणाराक्षसावानरैर्हताः । रुधिरंप्रसृतास्तत्ररससारमिवद्रुमाः ॥ ६-६९-६०
The Rakshasas killed by Vanaras, their shields and weapons broken, blood flowed from their limbs just as sap exudes from broken trees. [6-69-60]
