निर्जघ्नुस्सहसाऽप्लुत्ययातुधानान् प्लवङ्गमाः । शैलशृङ्गाचिताङ्गाश्चमुष्टिभिर्वान्तलोचनाः ॥ ६-६९-५१
The vanaras suddenly jumped and killed Rakshasa leaders. Attacked by mountain-peaks and blows of fists their (Rakshasa) eyes protruded. [6-69-51]

चेरुःपेतुश्चनेदुश्चतत्रराक्षसपुङ्गवाः । राक्षसाश्चशरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्बिदुःकपिकुञ्जरान् ॥ ६-६९-५२
There Rakshasa leaders trembled, shrieked and fell down. The Rakshasas also pierced with arrows the foremost of the monkeys . - [6-69-52]

शूलमुद्गरखडगैश्चजघ्नुःप्रासैश्चशक्तिभिः । अन्योन्यंपातयामासुःपरस्परजयैषिणः ॥ ६-६९-५३
- and struck with tridents, swords, javelins and lances. They (Vanaras and Rakshasas) were eager to conquer one another started striking one another. [6-69-53]

रिपुशोणितदिग्धाङ्गास्तत्रवानरराक्षसाः । ततश्शैलैश्चखडगैश्चविसृष्टैर्हरिराक्षसैः ॥ ६-६९-५४
There, the limbs of Vanaras and Rakshasas were stained with the blood of foes. By the mountains and swords thrown by the Vanaras and Rakshasas - [6-69-54]

मुहूर्तेनावृताभूमिरभवच्छोणिताप्लुता । विकीर्णैःपर्वताकारैरक्षोभिररिमर्दनैः । आसीद्वसुमतीपूर्णातदायुद्धमदान्वितैः ॥ ६-६९-५५
- the battlefield was covered and became dampened with blood within an instant. There, the battlefield was filled with mountain like forms of Rakshasas drunk with the pride of warfare, lying scattered all over. [6-69-55]
