तस्यगात्रेषुपतिताभिद्यन्तेशतशश्शिलाः । पादपाःपुष्पिताग्राश्चभग्नाःपेतुर्महीतले ॥ ६-६६-११

Fallen on his limbs many rocks got broken, even the treetops with blossoms were broken and fell on the ground. [6-66-11]

english translation

सोऽपिसैन्यानिसङ्क्रुद्धोवानराणांमहौजसाम् । ममन्थपरमायत्तोवनान्यग्निरिवोत्थितः ॥ ६-६६-१२

Enraged Kumbhakarna began to destroy Vanaras endowed with extraordinary vigour, just as great forest fire burns the forest. [6-66-12]

english translation

लोहितार्द्रास्तुबहवश्शेरतेवानरर्षभाः । निरस्तांपतिताभूमौताम्रपुष्पाइवद्रुमाः ॥ ६-६६-१३

Many bulls among the Vanaras lay on the ground like trees with red flowers on top tossed and fallen on the ground. [6-66-13]

english translation

लङ्घयन्तःप्रधावन्तोवानरानावलोकयन् । केचित्समुद्रेपतिताःकेचिद्गगनमास्थिताः ॥ ६-६६-१४

The Vanaras leapt without looking back. Indeed, some dropped into the ocean, and some flew into space. [6-66-14]

english translation

वध्यमानास्तुतेवीराराक्षसेन च लीलया । सागरंयेनतेतीर्णाःपथातेनदुद्रुवुः ॥ ६-६६-१५

While that Rakshasa was killing some warriors of vanaras playfully, some others ran away by the same route, by which they earlier crossed the ocean. [6-66-15]
