उपप्रदानंसान्त्वं च भेदंकाले च विक्रमम् । योगं च रक्षसांश्रेष्ठतावुभौ च नयानयौ ॥ ६-६३-११
"O the foremost of Rakshasas! Whosoever resorts to an act of bestowing gifts or conciliation or sowing dissension at appropriate occasion or exhibits valour or resorts to them all together or takes recourse to both right action and the reverse of it at the right time . - ॥ 6-63-11॥
english translation
upapradAnaMsAntvaM ca bhedaMkAle ca vikramam । yogaM ca rakSasAMzreSThatAvubhau ca nayAnayau ॥ 6-63-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकालेधर्मार्थकामान्यस्सम्मन्त्ऱ्यसचिवैःसह । निषेवेतात्मवान्लोके न स व्यसनमाप्नुयात् ॥ ६-६३-१२
- or pursues virtue or worldly gain or pleasure at the appropriate time after discussing with his counsellors, that intelligent person never confronts a misfortune in this world." ॥ 6-63-12॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptहितानुबन्धमालोच्यकार्यात्कार्यमिहात्मनः । राजासहार्थतत्त्वज्ञैस्सचिवैर्बुस्सहिजीवति ॥ ६-६३-१३
"A sovereign has to do an act here, looking into his welfare as a consequence along with his counsellors who make their subsistence by their intelligence and who understand the true state of the things." ॥ 6-63-13॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनभिज्ञायशास्त्रार्थान् पुरुषाःपशुबुद्धयः । प्रागल्भ्याद्वक्तुमिच्छन्तिमन्त्रेष्वभ्यन्तरीकृताः ॥ ६-६३-१४
"People whose intelligence level is no better than animals, who have been included to express their views, who do not know the meaning of shastras express their views out of impudence." ॥ 6-63-14॥

anabhijJAyazAstrArthAn puruSAHpazubuddhayaH । prAgalbhyAdvaktumicchantimantreSvabhyantarIkRtAH ॥ 6-63-14
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअशास्त्रविदुषांतेषां न कार्यमभिहितंवचः । अर्थशास्त्रानभिज्ञानांविपुलांश्रियमिच्छताम् ॥ ६-६३-१५
"Those who have no knowledge of shastras are ignorant of the science of wealth and desire huge wealth. Their advice ought not to be followed." ॥ 6-63-15॥
