पताकामालिनींरम्यामुद्यानवनशोभिताम् । चित्रवप्रासुदुष्प्रापमुच्चैःप्राकारतोरणाम् ॥ ६-४१-३१
(They reached the city of Ravana), which was wonderful, garlanded with banners, enchanting with the pleasure gardens which adorned it, inaccessible with its many gateways, high walls and arches. ॥ 6-41-31॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptतांसुरैरपिदुर्धर्षांरामवाक्यप्रचोदिताः । यथानिदेशंसम्पीड्यन्यविशन्तवनौकसः ॥ ६-४१-३२
Then they (those denizens of the forests), encouraged by the sound of Rama’s voice and obedient to his commands, halted before Lanka, which was impregnable, even to the Gods. ॥ 6-41-32॥

Accompanied by his brother Lakshmana, Rama, armed with bow, blocked the northern gate of Lanka which was like a lofty mountain peak and protected. ॥ 6-41-33॥
