दण्डनिर्घातवादिन्याश्रुत्वाभेर्यामहास्वनम् । उवाचसरमासीतामिदंमधुरभाषिणी ॥ ६-३३-२१

सन्नाहजननीह्येषाभैरवाभीरु: भेरिका । भेरीनादंचगम्भीरंशृणुतोयदनिःस्वनम् ॥ ६-३३-२२
"O Timid Sita! Listen to the deep penetrating sounds of drums like the rumbling of rain clouds signifying the preparations of the army. [6-33-22]

कल्प्यन्तेमत्तमातङ्गायुज्यन्तेरथवाजिन । हृष्यन्तेतुरगारूढाःप्रासहस्तस्सहस्रशः ॥ ६-३३-२३
"Elephants in rut are being caparisoned for war. Chariot horses are being prepared for a battle. Thousands of horsemen carrying darts in their hands are seen. [6-33-23]

तत्रतत्रचसन्नद्धास्सपततनिपदातयः । अपूर्यन्तेराजमार्गास्सैन्यैरद्भुतदर्शनैः ॥ ६-३३-२४
"Thousands of soldiers equipped with armor are marching quickly hither and thither. Royal highways are filled with wonderfully looking warriors . - [6-33-24]

वेगवभदिन्नदभदिश्चतोयौघैरिवसागरः । शस्त्राणांचप्रसन्नानांचर्मणांवर्मणांतथा ॥ ६-३३-२५
- like a swift flowing sea with its flood of waters making a roaring sound. Look at the sheen of weapons, the leather shields and coats of mail - [6-33-25]
