हापश्चिमामेसम्प्राप्तादशावैधव्यदायिनी । यामयासीन्नसुम्बद्धाकदाचिदपिमन्दया ॥ ६-११४-४१
"Alas! The last stage of my life, which conferred widow ship on me, has come and which was never contemplated by me at any time; a stupid woman as I am." [6-114-41]
english translation
पिता दानवराजो मे भर्ता मे राक्षसेश्वरः । पुत्रो मे शक्रनि र्जेता इत्यहं गर्विता भृशम् ॥ ६-११४-४२
"My father is a king of Danavas, my husband is a Lord of Rakshasas, and my son has won over Indra, the Lord of gods, thus I was excessively proud." [6-114-42]
english translation
दृप्तामर्दनाःशूराःप्रख्यातबलपौरुषाः । अकुतश्चिद्भयानाथाममेत्यासीन्मतिर्दृढा ॥ ६-११४-४३
"Those who are capable of protecting me are warriors, as they are capable of crushing the enemies and renowned for their pride of their strength. They had no fear from any quarter. I had this conviction in my mind." [6-114-43]
english translation
तेषामेवंप्रभावाणांयुष्माकंराक्षसर्षभाः । कथंभयमसम्बुद्धंमानुषादिदमागतम् ॥ ६-११४-४४
"O Bull among Rakshasas! You are such a famous king. This fear from a human is unknown. How did it come?" [6-114-44]
english translation
स्निग्धेन्द्रनीलनीलंतुप्रांशुशैलोपमंमहत् । केयूराङ्गदवैडूर्यमुक्ताहारस्रगुज्ज्वलम् ॥ ६-११४-४५
"The body of yours which was really dark as glossy sapphire, gigantic like a lofty mountain and resplendent with Keyuras and Angadas (two varieties of armlets) and necklace of cat's eye-gems and pearls and wreaths of flowers - [6-114-45]
