अब्रवीच्चहनूमन्तंसुग्रीवं च महाकपिम् । लक्ष्मणं परिवार्येह तिष्ठध्वन् वानरोत्तमाः ॥ ६-१०१-४६
- spoke to Hanuman and the great Vanara Sugriva, "O foremost of Vanaras! Take care of Lakshmana by surrounding him". ॥ 6-101-46॥

abravIccahanUmantaMsugrIvaM ca mahAkapim । lakSmaNaM parivAryeha tiSThadhvan vAnarottamAH ॥ 6-101-46
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपराक्रमस्यकालोऽयंसम्प्राप्तोमेचिरेप्सितः । पापात्मायंदशग्रीवोवध्यतांपापनिश्चयः ॥ ६-१०१-४७
"I will destroy the ten headed Ravana of sinful resolve rightfully in a short while from now. The time has come to exhibit my valour which was awaited for long . - ॥ 6-101-47॥

parAkramasyakAlo'yaMsamprAptomecirepsitaH । pApAtmAyaMdazagrIvovadhyatAMpApanizcayaH ॥ 6-101-47
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकाङ्क्षितस्स्तोककस्येवघर्मान्तेमेघदर्शनम् । अस्मिन् मुहूर्तेनचिरात्सत्यंप्रतिशृणोमिवः ॥ ६-१०१-४८
- just as clouds appeared before the chataka bird waiting for long. I take this vow in truth before you at this moment, that without delay - ॥ 6-101-48॥

- O Vanaras! you will see the world devoid of Ravana or Rama (myself). The loss of the kingdom, the dwelling in the forest and my wanderings in the woods of Dandaka - ॥ 6-101-49॥

- the insult offered to Vaidehi and my encounter with the Rakshasa causing this great terrific sorrow experienced by me, is like the torture of hell. ॥ 6-101-50॥
