तत आयव्ययौ दृष्ट्वा समौ सममतिर दविजः सर्वथा पराणिनां पीडाम उपादानाद अमन्यत ।। ३-९६-६ ।।

sanskrit

'Observing the balance between the king's income and expenditure, the Rishi, who viewed all matters with impartiality, realized that accepting anything in such circumstances would cause harm to living beings.' ।। 3-96-6 ।।

english translation

tata Ayavyayau dRSTvA samau samamatira davijaH sarvathA parANinAM pIDAma upAdAnAda amanyata || 3-96-6 ||
