[ल] यदा तव अमन्यतागस्त्यॊ गार्हस्थ्ये तां कषमाम इति तदाभिगम्य परॊवाच वैदर्भं पृथिवीपतिम ॥ ३-९५-१ ॥
'Lomasa continued, 'When Agastya deemed that girl fit for the responsibilities of married life, he approached the king of Vidarbha, the lord of the earth, and spoke to him.'' ॥ 3-95-1 ॥
english translation
राजन निवेशे बुद्धिर मे वर्तते पुत्रकारणात वरये तवां महीपाल लॊपामुद्रां परयच्छ मे ॥ ३-९५-२ ॥
'O King, my mind is set upon marriage for the sake of (having) a son. O ruler of the earth, I request you - please give Lopāmudrā to me.' ॥ 3-95-2 ॥
english translation
एवम उक्तः स मुनिना महीपालॊ विचेतनः परत्याख्यानाय चाशक्तः परदातुम अपि नैच्छत ॥ ३-९५-३ ॥
'Thus addressed by the sage, the king of the Vidarbhas fainted. Though he was reluctant to give his daughter Lopamudra to the Muni, he felt unable to refuse his request.' ॥ 3-95-3 ॥
english translation
ततः सभार्याम अभ्येत्य परॊवाच पृथिवीपतिः महर्षिर वीर्यवान एष करुद्धः शापाग्निना दहेत ॥ ३-९५-४ ॥
'And then the lord of the earth, approaching his queen, said, 'This Rishi is endowed with immense energy. If he becomes angry, he could incinerate me with the fire of his curse.'' ॥ 3-95-4 ॥

तं तथा दुःखितं दृष्ट्वा सभार्यं पृथिवीपतिम लॊपामुद्राभिगम्येदं काले वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-९५-५ ॥
'O you of the sweet face, reveal to me your desire." Upon hearing the king's words, she remained silent. Observing the sorrow of both the king and the queen, Lopamudra approached them at the appropriate moment and spoke.' ॥ 3-95-5 ॥
