न मत्कृते महीपाल पीडाम अभ्येतुम अर्हसि परयच्छ माम अगस्त्याय तराह्य आत्मानं मया पितः ॥ ३-९५-६ ॥
'Do not, O king, deserve to inflict pain upon me. Grant me refuge, O Agastya; I seek protection for myself from my father.' ॥ 3-95-6 ॥
english translation
दुहितुर वचनाद राजा सॊ ऽगस्त्याय महात्मने लॊपामुद्रां ततः परादाद विधिपूर्वं विशां पते ॥ ३-९५-७ ॥
'At his daughter's words, the king presented Lopamudra to the illustrious Agastya with the proper rites.' ॥ 3-95-7 ॥

पराप्य भार्याम अगस्त्यस तु लॊपामुद्राम अभाषत महार्हाण्य उत्सृजैतानि वासांस्य आभरणानि च ॥ ३-९५-८ ॥
'Once he received her as his wife, Agastya turned to Lopamudra and said, "Cast aside these extravagant garments and ornaments."' ॥ 3-95-8 ॥

ततः सा दर्शनीयानि महार्हाणि तनूनि च समुत्ससर्ज रम्भॊरुर वसनान्य आयतेक्षणा ॥ ३-९५-९ ॥
'Upon hearing her lord's words, the large-eyed maiden, whose thighs resembled the slender stem of a plantain tree, discarded her beautiful and expensive garments made of fine fabric.' ॥ 3-95-9 ॥

ततश चीराणि जग्राह वल्कलान्य अजिनानि च समानव्रतचर्या च बभूवायत लॊचना ॥ ३-९५-१० ॥
'After discarding her previous attire, she clothed herself in rags, bark, and deer skins, thereby matching her husband in vows and practices.' ॥ 3-95-10 ॥
