गङ्गायमुनयॊश चैव संगमे सत्यसंगराः विपाप्मानॊ महात्मानॊ विप्रेभ्यः परददुर वसु ॥ ३-९३-६ ॥

'At the confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna, being true to their word, The great-souled and free from sin, they gave wealth to the Brahmins.' ॥ 3-93-6 ॥

english translation

gaGgAyamunayòza caiva saMgame satyasaMgarAH vipApmAnò mahAtmAnò viprebhyaH paradadura vasu ॥ 3-93-6 ॥

तपस्विजनजुष्टां च ततॊ वेदीं परजापतेः जग्मुः पाण्डुसुता राजन बराह्मणैः सह भारत ॥ ३-९३-७ ॥

'Then, O king, the sons of Pandu, along with the Brahmins, Went to the sacrificial altar that was beloved of ascetics.' ॥ 3-93-7 ॥

tapasvijanajuSTAM ca tatò vedIM parajApateH jagmuH pANDusutA rAjana barAhmaNaiH saha bhArata ॥ 3-93-7 ॥

तत्र ते नयवसन वीरास तपश चातस्थुर उत्तमम संतर्पयन्तः सततं वन्येन हविषा दविजान ॥ ३-९३-८ ॥

'After residing there for some time, those heroes pleased the Brahmanas by offering them fruits, roots from the wilderness, and clarified butter, while diligently practicing ascetic penances of great merit.' ॥ 3-93-8 ॥

tatra te nayavasana vIrAsa tapaza cAtasthura uttamama saMtarpayantaH satataM vanyena haviSA davijAna ॥ 3-93-8 ॥

ततॊ महीधरं जग्मुर धर्मज्ञेनाभिसत्कृतम राजर्षिणा पुण्यकृता गयेनानुपम दयुते ॥ ३-९३-९ ॥

'They then journeyed to Mahidhara, consecrated by the virtuous royal sage Gaya, renowned for its unparalleled brilliance.' ॥ 3-93-9 ॥

tatò mahIdharaM jagmura dharmajJenAbhisatkRtama rAjarSiNA puNyakRtA gayenAnupama dayute ॥ 3-93-9 ॥

सरॊ गय शिरॊ यत्र पुण्या चैव महानदी ऋषिजुष्टं सुपुण्यं तत तीर्थं बरह्मसरॊत्तमम ॥ ३-९३-१० ॥

'In that region lies the hill known as Gayasira, alongside the charming river Mahanadi, its banks adorned with clusters of cane. Upon that celestial hill, revered for its holy peaks, is a sacred tirtha called Brahmasara, greatly cherished by ascetics.' ॥ 3-93-10 ॥
