अगस्त्यॊ भगवान यत्र गतॊ वैवस्वतं परति उवास च सवयं यत्र धर्मॊ राजन सनातनः ॥ ३-९३-११ ॥
'Long ago, on the shores of that lake, resided the eternal God of Justice Himself, and it was to this sacred place that the illustrious sage Agastya journeyed to witness that divine deity.' ॥ 3-93-11 ॥
english translation
सर्वासां सरितां चैव समुद्भेदॊ विशां पते यत्र संनिहितॊ नित्यं महादेवः पिनाक धृक ॥ ३-९३-१२ ॥
'From that lake, all rivers originate, and there in that sacred tirtha, Mahadeva, the wielder of the Pinaka, is eternally present.' ॥ 3-93-12 ॥
english translation
तत्र ते पाण्डवा वीराश चातुर्मास्यैस तदेजिरे ऋषियज्ञेन महता यत्राक्षयवतॊ महान ॥ ३-९३-१३ ॥
'Upon reaching that sacred place, the heroic sons of Pandu diligently observed the Chaturmasya vow, adhering to all the rites and regulations of the grand sacrifice known as Rishiyajna.' ॥ 3-93-13 ॥

बराह्मणास तत्र शतशः समाजग्मुस तपॊधनाः चातुर्मास्येनायजन्त आर्षेण विधिना तदा ॥ ३-९३-१४ ॥
'And those Brahmanas also performed the Chaturmasya sacrifice according to the rites prescribed by the Rishis.' ॥ 3-93-14 ॥
english translation
तत्र विद्या तपॊनित्या बराह्मणा वेदपारगाः कथाः परचक्रिरे पुण्याः सदसि सथा महात्मनाम ॥ ३-९३-१५ ॥
'There, in that sacred tirtha, the venerable Brahmanas, rich in knowledge and ascetic merit and well-versed in the Vedas, formed a learned assembly in the presence of the illustrious sons of Pandu.' ॥ 3-93-15 ॥
