'Just as Dadhichi protected Indra and Angiras safeguarded the Sun, so, O foremost of the regenerate, protect the sons of Kunti from these malevolent beings.' ॥ 3-90-6 ॥

dadhIca iva devendraM yathA cApya aGgirA ravima tathA rakSasva kaunteyaM rAkSasebhyò davijòttama ॥ 3-90-6 ॥

यातुधाना हि बहवॊ राक्षसाः पर्वतॊपमाः तवयाभिगुप्तान कौन्तेयान नातिवर्तेयुर अन्तिकात ॥ ३-९०-७ ॥

'On the path, there are numerous Rakshasas, as massive as mountain cliffs. Yet, under your protection, they will not be able to approach the sons of Kunti.' ॥ 3-90-7 ॥

yAtudhAnA hi bahavò rAkSasAH parvatòpamAH tavayAbhiguptAna kaunteyAna nAtivarteyura antikAta ॥ 3-90-7 ॥

सॊ ऽहम इन्द्रस्य वचनान नियॊगाद अर्जुनस्य च रक्षमाणॊ भयेभ्यस तवां चरिष्यामि तवया सह ॥ ३-९०-८ ॥

'Following the commands of Indra and at the request of Arjuna, I shall accompany you, shielding you from all dangers as we journey together.' ॥ 3-90-8 ॥

sò 'hama indrasya vacanAna niyògAda arjunasya ca rakSamANò bhayebhyasa tavAM cariSyAmi tavayA saha ॥ 3-90-8 ॥

दविस तीर्थानि मया पूर्वं दृष्टानि कुरुनन्दन इदं तृतीयं दरक्ष्यामि तान्य एव भवता सह ॥ ३-९०-९ ॥

'Previously, O son of the Kuru race, I have visited the tirthas twice. Now, with you, I shall embark on this journey for the third time.' ॥ 3-90-9 ॥

इयं राजर्षिभिर याता पुण्यकृद्भिर युधिष्ठिर मन्वादिभिर महाराज तीर्थयात्रा भयापहा ॥ ३-९०-१० ॥

'O Yudhishthira, great royal sages like Manu and others of illustrious deeds have also undertaken pilgrimages to these sacred places. Indeed, a journey to the tirthas has the power to dispel all fears, O king!' ॥ 3-90-10 ॥
