यथाह विदुरः पराज्ञॊ यथा भीष्मॊ यथा वयम यथा कृपश च दरॊणश च तथा साधु विधीयताम ॥ ३-९-६ ॥
'You, O wise king, are as righteous as Vidura, Bhishma, Kripa, or Drona.' ॥ 3-9-6 ॥
english translation
विग्रहॊ हि महाप्राज्ञ सवजनेन विगर्हितः अधार्म्यम अयशस्यं च मा राजन परतिपद्यथाः ॥ ३-९-७ ॥
'Disputes with one's kin are forbidden, sinful, and reprehensible. Therefore, you must abandon such harmful actions!' ॥ 3-9-7 ॥

समीक्षा यादृशी हय अस्य पाण्डवान परति भारत उपेक्ष्यमाणा सा राजन हमान्तम अनयं सपृशेत ॥ ३-९-८ ॥
'And, O Bharata, the jealousy Duryodhana bears towards the Pandavas is so intense that if left unchecked, it may result in great harm.' ॥ 3-9-8 ॥

अथ वायं सुमन्दात्मा वनं गच्छतु ते सुतः पाण्डवैः सहितॊ राजन्न एक एवासहाय वान ॥ ३-९-९ ॥
'Or else, O King, let this foolish son of yours go to the forest, Either together with the Pandavas or alone and without help.' ॥
english translation
ततः संसर्गजः सनेहः पुत्रस्य तव पाण्डवैः यदि सयात कृतकार्यॊ ऽदय भवेस तवं मनुजेश्वर ॥ ३-९-१० ॥
'If, through such association, the Pandavas come to develop any affection for Duryodhana, it might bring you good fortune, O king of men.' ॥ 3-9-10 ॥
