[व] एवं संभाषमाणे तु धौम्ये कौरवनन्दन लॊमशः सुमहातेजा ऋषिस तत्राजगाम ह ।। ३-८९-१ ।।

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana continued, 'O son of the Kuru lineage, while Dhaumya was speaking, the mighty Rishi Lomasa arrived at that very spot.'' ।। 3-89-1 ।।

english translation

[va] evaM saMbhASamANe tu dhaumye kauravanandana lòmazaH sumahAtejA RSisa tatrAjagAma ha || 3-89-1 ||

तं पाण्डवाग्रजॊ राजा सगणॊ बराह्मणाश च ते उदतिष्ठन महाभागं दिवि शक्रम इवामराः ।। ३-८९-२ ।।

sanskrit

'The king, the eldest of Pandu's sons, along with his followers and the Brahmanas, gathered around the highly righteous Lomasa, much like the celestials in heaven gathering around Sakra.' ।। 3-89-2 ।।

english translation

taM pANDavAgrajò rAjA sagaNò barAhmaNAza ca te udatiSThana mahAbhAgaM divi zakrama ivAmarAH || 3-89-2 ||

तम अभ्यर्च्य यथान्यायं धर्मराजॊ युधिष्ठिरः पप्रच्छागमने हेतुम अटने च परयॊजनम ।। ३-८९-३ ।।

'Having received him with due honor, Yudhishthira the Just inquired about the reason for his arrival and the purpose of his travels.' ।। 3-89-3 ।।

'Thus questioned by the son of Pandu, the illustrious ascetic, filled with pleasure, responded with gentle words that delighted the Pandavas.' ।। 3-89-4 ।।

'Traveling freely, O Kaunteya, across all realms, I arrived at Sakra's abode and beheld there the Lord of the Celestials.' ।। 3-89-5 ।।
