तत पुण्यं तत्परं बरह्म तत तीर्थं तत तपॊवनम तत्र देवर्षयः सिद्धाः सर्वे चैव तपॊधनाः ॥ ३-८८-२६ ॥

'For he is Merit, the Supreme Brahman, the tirtha, the ascetic retreat, the First, the foremost among the gods, and the great Lord of all beings.' ॥ 3-88-26 ॥

english translation

tata puNyaM tatparaM barahma tata tIrthaM tata tapòvanama tatra devarSayaH siddhAH sarve caiva tapòdhanAH ॥ 3-88-26 ॥

आदिदेवॊ महायॊगी यत्रास्ते मधुसूदनः पुण्यानाम अपि तत पुण्यं तत्र ते संशयॊ ऽसतु मा ॥ ३-८८-२७ ॥

'In that place reside the celestial Rishis, the Siddhas, and all the sages, where dwells the slayer of Madhu, the primeval Deity and mighty Yogi!' ॥ 3-88-27 ॥

english translation

Adidevò mahAyògI yatrAste madhusUdanaH puNyAnAma api tata puNyaM tatra te saMzayò 'satu mA ॥ 3-88-27 ॥

एतानि राजन पुण्यानि पृथिव्यां पृथिवीपते कीर्तितानि नरश्रेष्ठ तीर्थान्य आयतनानि च ॥ ३-८८-२८ ॥

'Let there be no doubt in your heart that this place is the foremost of all holy sites. These are the tirthas and sacred spots on earth that I have recited, O noble one!' ॥ 3-88-28 ॥

etAni rAjana puNyAni pRthivyAM pRthivIpate kIrtitAni narazreSTha tIrthAnya AyatanAni ca ॥ 3-88-28 ॥

एतानि वसुभिः साध्यैर आदित्यैर मरुद अश्विभिः ऋषिभिर बरह्मकल्पैश च सेवितानि महात्मभिः ॥ ३-८८-२९ ॥

'All these places are frequented by the Vasus, the Sadhyas, the Adityas, the Maruts, the Ashvins, and the illustrious Rishis, who resemble the celestial beings themselves.' ॥ 3-88-29 ॥

etAni vasubhiH sAdhyaira Adityaira maruda azvibhiH RSibhira barahmakalpaiza ca sevitAni mahAtmabhiH ॥ 3-88-29 ॥

चरन एतानि कौन्तेय सहितॊ बराह्मणर्षभैः भरातृभिश च महाभागैर उत्कण्ठां विजहिष्यसि ॥ ३-८८-३० ॥

'By journeying to these sacred sites, O son of Kunti, alongside the Brahmanas and ascetics with you, as well as your blessed brothers, you shall be freed from all anxiety!' ॥ 3-88-30 ॥
