शरीपर्वतं समासाद्य नदीतीर उपस्पृशेत अश्वमेधम अवाप्नॊति सवर्गलॊकं च गच्छति ॥ ३-८३-१६ ॥
'By visiting the mountain Sree and touching the waters of its stream while worshiping the deity marked by a bull, one attains the merit of the horse-sacrifice.' ॥ 3-83-16 ॥
english translation
शरीपर्वते महादेवॊ देव्या सह महाद्युतिः नयवसत परमप्रीतॊ बरह्मा च तरिदशैर वृतः ॥ ३-८३-१७ ॥
'On the mountain Sree, the radiant Mahadeva happily dwells with the goddess, alongside Brahma and the other gods.' ॥ 3-83-17 ॥
english translation
तत्र देव हरदे सनात्वा शुचिः परयत मानसः अश्वमेधम अवाप्नॊति परां सिद्धिं च गच्छति ॥ ३-८३-१८ ॥
'By bathing in the lake of Deva with a pure and restrained mind, one attains the merit of the horse-sacrifice and achieves the highest success.' ॥ 3-83-18 ॥
english translation
ऋषभं पर्वतं गत्वा पाण्ड्येषु सुरपूजितम वाजपेयम अवाप्नॊति नाकपृष्ठे च मॊदते ॥ ३-८३-१९ ॥
'Next, by proceeding to the mountain Rishabha in Pandya, revered by the gods, one attains the merit of the Vajapeya sacrifice and rejoices in the heavenly realms.' ॥ 3-83-19 ॥
english translation
ततॊ गच्छेत कावेरीं वृताम अप्सरसां गणैः तत्र सनात्वा नरॊ राजन गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ॥ ३-८३-२० ॥
'One should then proceed to the river Kaveri, frequented by celestial nymphs (Apsaras). By bathing there, O monarch, one attains the merit of donating a thousand cows.' ॥ 3-83-20 ॥
