अथ वेदीं समासाद्य नरः परमदुर्गमाम अश्वमेधम अवाप्नॊति गच्छेच चौशनसीं गतिम ॥ ३-८२-४२ ॥
'Then, upon reaching the extremely difficult to attain altar, A man obtains the merit of an Ashwamedha sacrifice and attains the state of Ushanas.' ॥ 3-82-42 ॥
