अरुन्धती वटं गच्छेत तीर्थसेवी नराधिप सामुद्रकम उपस्पृश्य तरिरात्रॊपॊषितॊ नरः गॊसहस्रफलं विन्देत कुलं चैव समुद्धरेत ।। ३-८२-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'Then, O king, the pilgrim should proceed to the Arundhati Banyan. With a focused mind and observing the vows of Brahmacharya, one who bathes in the waters of Samudraka and fasts for three nights attains the merit of the horse sacrifice and the rewards of giving away a thousand kine, thereby also rescuing his lineage.' ।। 3-82-37 ।।

english translation

arundhatI vaTaM gaccheta tIrthasevI narAdhipa sAmudrakama upaspRzya tarirAtròpòSitò naraH gòsahasraphalaM vindeta kulaM caiva samuddhareta || 3-82-37 ||
