पृथिव्यास तीर्थम आसाद्य गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ततः शालूकिनीं गत्वा तीर्थसेवी नराधिप दशाश्वमेधिके सनात्वा तद एव लभते फलम ॥ ३-८१-११ ॥

'Next, by visiting the tirtha known as Prithivi, one attains the rewards of donating a thousand cows. The pilgrim should then proceed to Shalukini, and by bathing there, he acquires the merit of ten Ashvamedha sacrifices.' ॥ 3-81-11 ॥

english translation

pRthivyAsa tIrthama AsAdya gòsahasraphalaM labheta tataH zAlUkinIM gatvA tIrthasevI narAdhipa dazAzvamedhike sanAtvA tada eva labhate phalama ॥ 3-81-11 ॥

सर्पदर्वीं समासाद्य नागानां तीर्थम उत्तमम अग्निष्टॊमम अवाप्नॊति नागलॊकं च विन्दति ॥ ३-८१-१२ ॥

'Next, by visiting Sarpadevi, the exalted tirtha of the Nagas, one attains the merit of the Agnishtoma sacrifice and gains entry into the realm of the Nagas.' ॥ 3-81-12 ॥

sarpadarvIM samAsAdya nAgAnAM tIrthama uttamama agniSTòmama avApnòti nAgalòkaM ca vindati ॥ 3-81-12 ॥

ततॊ गच्छेत धर्मज्ञ दवारपालं तरन्तुकम तत्रॊष्य रजनीम एकां गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ॥ ३-८१-१३ ॥

'O virtuous one, one should then proceed to Tarantuka, the gatekeeper, and by staying there for one night, one acquires the merit of donating a thousand cows.' ॥ 3-81-13 ॥

tatò gaccheta dharmajJa davArapAlaM tarantukama tatròSya rajanIma ekAM gòsahasraphalaM labheta ॥ 3-81-13 ॥

ततः पञ्चनदं गत्वा नियतॊ नियताशनः कॊटिकीर्थम उपस्पृश्य हयमेध फलं लभेत अश्विनॊस तीर्थम आसाद्य रूपवान अभिजायते ॥ ३-८१-१४ ॥

'Next, with subdued senses and a regulated diet, one should proceed to Panchanada and bathe in the tirtha called Koti, where one attains the merit of a horse sacrifice. Afterward, by visiting the tirtha of the twin Ashvins, one is blessed with personal beauty.' ॥ 3-81-14 ॥

tataH paJcanadaM gatvA niyatò niyatAzanaH kòTikIrthama upaspRzya hayamedha phalaM labheta azvinòsa tIrthama AsAdya rUpavAna abhijAyate ॥ 3-81-14 ॥

ततॊ गच्छेत धर्मज्ञ वाराहं तीर्थम उत्तमम विष्णुर वाराह रूपेण पूर्वं यत्र सथितॊ ऽभवत तत्र सनात्वा नरव्याघ्र अग्निष्टॊम फलं लभेत ॥ ३-८१-१५ ॥

'O virtuous one, one should next journey to the sacred tirtha known as Varaha, where Vishnu once appeared in the form of a boar. By bathing there, O foremost of men, one attains the merit of the Ashvamedha sacrifice.' ॥ 3-81-15 ॥
