एवम उक्त्वा नरश्रेष्ठ महादेवेन धीमता अङ्गुल्यग्रेण राजेन्द्र सवाङ्गुष्ठस ताडितॊ ऽनघ ॥ ३-८१-१०६ ॥
'Having spoken thus, O best of men, Mahadeva, the sinless king, pressed the tip of his own finger against the Rishi's thumb.' ॥ 3-81-106 ॥
english translation
evama uktvA narazreSTha mahAdevena dhImatA aGgulyagreNa rAjendra savAGguSThasa tADitò 'nagha ॥ 3-81-106 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ भस्म कषताद राजन निर्गतं हिमसंनिभम तद दृष्ट्वा वरीडितॊ राजन स मुनिः पादयॊर गतः ॥ ३-८१-१०७ ॥
'And behold, from the wound thus inflicted, there issued ashes as white as snow. Upon witnessing this, O king, the Muni, filled with shame, fell at the feet of the deity.' ॥ 3-81-107 ॥
english translation
tatò bhasma kaSatAda rAjana nirgataM himasaMnibhama tada dRSTvA varIDitò rAjana sa muniH pAdayòra gataH ॥ 3-81-107 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनान्यं देवम अहं मन्ये रुद्रात परतरं महत सुरासुरस्य जगतॊ गतिस तवम असि शूलधृक ॥ ३-८१-१०८ ॥
'I do not consider any other deity greater than Rudra. You are the ultimate refuge of both gods and demons, O wielder of the trident.' ॥ 3-81-108 ॥
english translation
nAnyaM devama ahaM manye rudrAta parataraM mahata surAsurasya jagatò gatisa tavama asi zUladhRka ॥ 3-81-108 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतवया सृष्टम इदं विश्वं तरैलॊक्यं स चराचरम तवाम एव भगवन सर्वे परविशन्ति युगक्षये ॥ ३-८१-१०९ ॥
'O Trident-holder, you are the refuge of both the celestials and the Asuras, indeed of the entire universe. It is by you that the three worlds, along with all their mobile and immobile beings, have been created. At the end of the Yuga, it is you who devours all.' ॥ 3-81-109 ॥
english translation
tavayA sRSTama idaM vizvaM tarailòkyaM sa carAcarama tavAma eva bhagavana sarve paravizanti yugakSaye ॥ 3-81-109 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवैर अपि न शक्यस तवं परिज्ञातुं कुतॊ मया तवयि सर्वे च दृश्यन्ते सुरा बरह्मादयॊ ऽनघ ॥ ३-८१-११० ॥
'You are beyond the comprehension of even the gods, let alone myself. O sinless one, all the deities, led by Brahma, are manifest within you.' ॥ 3-81-110 ॥

devaira api na zakyasa tavaM parijJAtuM kutò mayA tavayi sarve ca dRzyante surA barahmAdayò 'nagha ॥ 3-81-110 ॥
