बरह्मादिभिः सुरै राजन्न ऋषिभिश च तपॊधनैः विज्ञप्तॊ वै महादेव ऋषेर अर्थे नराधिप नायं नृत्येद यथा देव तथा तवं कर्तुम अर्हसि ।। ३-८१-१०१ ।।

'Then, O king, the gods, led by Brahma, along with the Rishis endowed with the wealth of asceticism, moved by Mankanaka's actions, approached Mahadeva and urged, 'O god, it is fitting for you to intervene so that this Rishi may refrain from dancing.'' ।। 3-81-101 ।।

english translation

barahmAdibhiH surai rAjanna RSibhiza ca tapòdhanaiH vijJaptò vai mahAdeva RSera arthe narAdhipa nAyaM nRtyeda yathA deva tathA tavaM kartuma arhasi || 3-81-101 ||

ततः परनृत्तम आसाद्य हर्षाविष्टेन चेतसा सुराणां हितकामार्थम ऋषिं देवॊ ऽभयभाषत ।। ३-८१-१०२ ।।

'Thus addressed, Mahadeva, his heart filled with joy, approached the dancing Rishi and, driven by the desire to benefit the gods, spoke to him.' ।। 3-81-102 ।।

tataH paranRttama AsAdya harSAviSTena cetasA surANAM hitakAmArthama RSiM devò 'bhayabhASata || 3-81-102 ||

अहॊ महर्षे धर्मज्ञ किमर्थं नृत्यते भवान हर्षस्थानं किमर्थं वा तवाद्य मुनिपुंगव ।। ३-८१-१०३ ।।

'O revered sage, O virtuous one, why do you dance? O foremost among the ascetics, what is the cause of your current joy?' ।। 3-81-103 ।।

english translation

ahò maharSe dharmajJa kimarthaM nRtyate bhavAna harSasthAnaM kimarthaM vA tavAdya munipuMgava || 3-81-103 ||

[रसि] किं न पश्यसि मे देवकराच छाक रसं सरुतम यं दृष्ट्वाहं परनृत्तॊ वै हर्षेण महतान्वितः ।। ३-८१-१०४ ।।

'The Rishi replied, "O best of Brahmanas, I am an ascetic devoted to the path of virtue. Do you not see, O Brahmana, the stream of vegetable juice flowing from the wound in my hand? Overcome with great joy at this sight, I am compelled to dance."' ।। 3-81-104 ।।

[rasi] kiM na pazyasi me devakarAca chAka rasaM sarutama yaM dRSTvAhaM paranRttò vai harSeNa mahatAnvitaH || 3-81-104 ||

[पुलस्त्य] तं परहस्याब्रवीद देवॊ मुनिं रागेण मॊहितम अहं वै विस्मयं विप्र न गच्छामीति पश्य माम ।। ३-८१-१०५ ।।

'Addressing the Rishi, who was overwhelmed with emotion, the god, laughing, said, "O Brahmana, I am not surprised by this. Behold me!"' ।। 3-81-105 ।।

[pulastya] taM parahasyAbravIda devò muniM rAgeNa mòhitama ahaM vai vismayaM vipra na gacchAmIti pazya mAma || 3-81-105 ||
