जित्वा यत्र महाप्राज्ञ विष्णुना परभ विष्णुना पुरा शौचं कृतं राजन हत्वा दैवतकण्टकान ॥ ३-८०-९१ ॥

sanskrit

'O you of great wisdom, Vishnu, the creator of the universe, went there to purify himself after vanquishing the Daityas and Danavas.' ।। 3-80-91 ।।

jitvA yatra mahAprAjJa viSNunA parabha viSNunA purA zaucaM kRtaM rAjana hatvA daivatakaNTakAna ॥ 3-80-91 ॥

'O virtuous one, next one should proceed to the revered Vasudhara, worshipped by all. Upon arriving at that tirtha, one attains the merit of the horse sacrifice.' ।। 3-80-92 ।।

'And, O best of the Kurus, by bathing there with a subdued mind and focused attention, and by offering libations of water to the gods and the Pitris, one ascends to the realm of Vishnu and is honored there.' ।। 3-80-93 ।।

'In that tirtha, O bull among the Bharatas, there exists a sacred lake of the Vasus. By bathing there and drinking its waters, one becomes esteemed by the Vasus.' ।। 3-80-94 ।।
