वरदानं ततॊ गच्छेत तीर्थं भरतसत्तम विष्णॊर दुर्वाससा यत्र वरॊ दत्तॊ युधिष्ठिर ॥ ३-८०-८१ ॥
'Next, O best of the Bharatas, one should proceed to the tirtha known as Varadana, where the sage Durvāsas granted a boon to Vishnu.' ॥ 3-80-81 ॥
english translation
वरदाने नरः सनात्वा गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ततॊ दवारवतीं गच्छेन नियतॊ नियताशनः पिण्डारके नरः सनात्वा लभेद बहुसुवर्णकम ॥ ३-८०-८२ ॥
'A person who bathes in Varadana attains the merit of gifting a thousand cows. One should then proceed, with senses subdued and diet regulated, to Dvāravatī, where bathing in Pindāraka brings the reward of abundant gold.' ॥ 3-80-82 ॥
english translation
तस्मिंस तीर्थे महाभाग पद्मलक्षणलक्षिताः अद्यापि मुद्रा दृश्यन्ते तद अद्भुतम अरिंदम ॥ ३-८०-८३ ॥
'O blessed one, it is truly marvelous that in that tirtha, even today, coins bearing the mark of the lotus and lotuses marked with the trident can be seen.' ॥ 3-80-83 ॥
english translation
तरिशूलाङ्कानि पद्मानि दृश्यन्ते कुरुनन्दन महादेवस्य सांनिध्यं तत्रैव भरतर्षभ ॥ ३-८०-८४ ॥
'O vanquisher of heroes! O bull among men, the presence of Mahadeva is indeed felt there.' ॥ 3-80-84 ॥
english translation
सागरस्य च सिन्धॊश च संगमं पराप्य भारत तीर्थे सलिलराजस्य सनात्वा परयत मानसः ॥ ३-८०-८५ ॥
'Upon arriving, O Bharata, at the confluence where the Sindhu meets the sea, one should bathe in that tirtha of Varuna with a subdued soul.' ॥ 3-80-85 ॥
