पिङ्गा तीर्थम उपस्पृश्य बरह्म चारी जितेन्द्रियः कपिलानां नरव्याघ्र शतस्य फलम अश्नुते ।। ३-८०-७६ ।।

'One who, living the life of a Brahmachari, bathes in the sacred Piṅgā, O tiger among kings, earns the merit of gifting a hundred Kapila cows.' ।। 3-80-76 ।।

english translation

piGgA tIrthama upaspRzya barahma cArI jitendriyaH kapilAnAM naravyAghra zatasya phalama aznute || 3-80-76 ||

ततॊ गच्छेत धर्मज्ञ परभासं लॊकविश्रुतम यत्र संनिहितॊ नित्यं सवयम एव हुताशनः देवतानां मुखं वीर अनलॊ ऽनिलसारथिः ।। ३-८०-७७ ।।

'Next, O king, one should proceed to the sacred tirtha of Prabhāsa, where Hutasana (the Fire God) is ever present in his own form. There, O hero, Agni, the friend of the wind, serves as the mouth of all the gods.' ।। 3-80-77 ।।

english translation

tatò gaccheta dharmajJa parabhAsaM lòkavizrutama yatra saMnihitò nityaM savayama eva hutAzanaH devatAnAM mukhaM vIra analò 'nilasArathiH || 3-80-77 ||

तस्मिंस तीर्थवरे सनात्वा शुचिः परयत मानसः अग्निष्टॊमातिरात्राभ्यां फलं पराप्नॊति मानवः ।। ३-८०-७८ ।।

'The person who bathes in that tirtha with a subdued and purified soul attains merit greater than that of the Agniṣṭoma and Atirātra sacrifices.' ।। 3-80-78 ।।

tasmiMsa tIrthavare sanAtvA zuciH parayata mAnasaH agniSTòmAtirAtrAbhyAM phalaM parApnòti mAnavaH || 3-80-78 ||

ततॊ गत्वा सरस्वत्याः सागरस्य च संगमे गॊसहस्रफलं पराप्य सवर्गलॊके महीयते दीप्यमानॊ ऽगनिवन नित्यं परभया भरतर्षभ ।। ३-८०-७९ ।।

'Next, upon reaching the confluence of the Sarasvatī and the sea, one gains the merit of gifting a thousand cows and also attains heaven, O bull among the Bharatas, shining forever like Agni himself.' ।। 3-80-79 ।।

english translation

tatò gatvA sarasvatyAH sAgarasya ca saMgame gòsahasraphalaM parApya savargalòke mahIyate dIpyamAnò 'ganivana nityaM parabhayA bharatarSabha || 3-80-79 ||

तरिरात्रम उषितस तत्र तर्पयेत पितृदेवताः परभासते यथा सॊमॊ अश्वमेधं च विन्दति ।। ३-८०-८० ।।

'One who bathes in the tirtha of the king of waters with a subdued soul, offering libations of water to the Pitris and the gods while residing there for three nights, shines like the Moon and also attains the merit of the Ashvamedha sacrifice.' ।। 3-80-80 ।।
