ततॊ गच्छेत धर्मज्ञ दीर्घसत्रं यथाक्रमम यत्र बरह्मादयॊ देवाः सिद्धाश च परमर्षयः दीर्घसत्रम उपासन्ते दक्षिणाभिर यतव्रताः ।। ३-८०-११६ ।।

sanskrit

'Then, O knower of dharma, one should go to Dirghasatra in due order, Where Brahma and other gods, the Siddhas, and the great sages, Attend the long sacrifice (Dirghasatra), observing strict vows with dakshina (offerings).' ।। 3-80-116 ।।

english translation

tatò gaccheta dharmajJa dIrghasatraM yathAkramama yatra barahmAdayò devAH siddhAza ca paramarSayaH dIrghasatrama upAsante dakSiNAbhira yatavratAH || 3-80-116 ||

गमनाद एव राजेन्द्र दीर्घसत्रम अरिंदम राजसूयाश्वमेधाभ्यां फलं पराप्नॊति मानवः ।। ३-८०-११७ ।।

sanskrit

'O king, simply by visiting Dirghasatra, the represser of foes, one acquires a merit that surpasses that of the Rajasuya or the horse-sacrifice.' ।। 3-80-117 ।।

english translation

gamanAda eva rAjendra dIrghasatrama ariMdama rAjasUyAzvamedhAbhyAM phalaM parApnòti mAnavaH || 3-80-117 ||

sanskrit

'Next, one should approach Vinasana with subdued senses and a regulated diet, where Saraswati, vanishing on the breast of Meru, reappears at Chamasa, Shivodbheda, and Nagadbheda.' ।। 3-80-118 ।।

tatò vinazanaM gacchena niyatò niyatAzanaH gacchatya antarhitA yatra maru pRSThe sarasvatI camase ca zivòdbhede nAgòdbhede ca dRzyate || 3-80-118 ||

सनात्वा च चमसॊद्भेदे अग्निष्टॊम फलं लभेत शिवॊद्भेदे नरः सनात्वा गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ।। ३-८०-११९ ।।

'By bathing at Chamasa, one acquires the merit of the Agnishtoma sacrifice; and by bathing at Shivodbheda, one obtains the merit of donating a thousand kine.' ।। 3-80-119 ।।

sanAtvA ca camasòdbhede agniSTòma phalaM labheta zivòdbhede naraH sanAtvA gòsahasraphalaM labheta || 3-80-119 ||

'After bathing in Nagodbheda, a person would attain the world of the Nagas. O king of kings, reaching the rare and difficult to attain Shashyana tirtha, O Bharata, where the Pushkara lakes are concealed in the form of rabbits.' ।। 3-80-120 ।।

nAgòdbhede naraH sanAtvA nAgalòkama avApnuyAta zazayAnaM ca rAjendra tIrthama AsAdya durlabhama zazarUpapratichannAH puSkarA yatra bhArata || 3-80-120 ||
