तरिशूलपाणेः सथानं च तरिषु लॊकेषु विश्रुतम देविकायां नरः सनात्वा समभ्यर्च्य महेश्वरम ।। ३-८०-१११ ।।

'There lies the realm of the Trident-Bearer, a place renowned throughout the world.' ।। 3-80-111 ।।

english translation

tarizUlapANeH sathAnaM ca tariSu lòkeSu vizrutama devikAyAM naraH sanAtvA samabhyarcya mahezvarama || 3-80-111 ||

यथाशक्ति चरुं तत्र निवेद्य भरतर्षभ सर्वकामसमृद्धस्य यज्ञस्य लभते फलम ।। ३-८०-११२ ।।

sanskrit

'Having bathed in Devika and worshipped Maheswara by offering rice boiled in milk and butter, according to one's ability, a man, O bull of the Bharata race, attains the merit of a sacrifice that fulfills all desires.' ।। 3-80-112 ।।

english translation

yathAzakti caruM tatra nivedya bharatarSabha sarvakAmasamRddhasya yajJasya labhate phalama || 3-80-112 ||

कामाख्यं तत्र रुद्रस्य तीर्थं देवर्षिसेवितम तत्र सनात्वा नरः कषिप्रं सिद्धिम आप्नॊति भारत ।। ३-८०-११३ ।।

'There is also another tirtha of Rudra known as Kamakhya, greatly frequented by the gods. By bathing there, a man swiftly attains success.' ।। 3-80-113 ।।

kAmAkhyaM tatra rudrasya tIrthaM devarSisevitama tatra sanAtvA naraH kaSipraM siddhima Apnòti bhArata || 3-80-113 ||

यजनं याजनं गत्वा तथैव बरह्म वालुकाम पुष्पन्यास उपस्पृश्य न शॊचेन मरणं ततः ।। ३-८०-११४ ।।

sanskrit

'By also touching the waters of Yajana, Brahmavaluka, and Pushpamva, one becomes liberated from sorrow in the afterlife.' ।। 3-80-114 ।।

yajanaM yAjanaM gatvA tathaiva barahma vAlukAma puSpanyAsa upaspRzya na zòcena maraNaM tataH || 3-80-114 ||

अर्धयॊजनविस्तारां पञ्चयॊजनम आयताम एतावद देविकाम आहुः पुण्यां देवर्षिसेविताम ।। ३-८०-११५ ।।

'The wise have declared that the sacred tirtha of Devika, frequented by the gods and Rishis, extends five Yojanas in length and half a Yojana in breadth.' ।। 3-80-115 ।।
