विषम उद्बन्धनं वापि शस्त्रम अग्निप्रवेशनम करिष्ये न हि तान ऋद्धान पुनर दरष्टुम इहॊत्सहे ॥ ३-८-६ ॥

sanskrit

'I would rather consume poison, hang myself, enter the funeral pyre, or use my weapons to end my life. But I will never be able to bear witness to the prosperity of the sons of Pandu!' ॥ 3-8-6 ॥

english translation

viSama udbandhanaM vApi zastrama agnipravezanama kariSye na hi tAna RddhAna punara daraSTuma ihòtsahe ॥ 3-8-6 ॥
