बृहदश्व उवाच परशान्ते तु पुरे हृष्टे संप्रवृत्ते महॊत्सवे महत्या सेनया राजा दमयन्तीम उपानयत ॥ ३-७८-१ ॥
'Vrihadaswa said, 'When the festivities had begun in the joyful city, free from any anxiety, the king, accompanied by a large force, brought Damayanti from her father’s home.'' ॥ 3-78-1 ॥
english translation
दमयन्तीम अपि पिता सत्कृत्य परवीरहा परस्थापयद अमेयात्मा भीमॊ भीमपराक्रमः ॥ ३-७८-२ ॥
'And her father, that slayer of enemy heroes, Bhima of formidable prowess and boundless spirit, duly honored his daughter before sending her away.' ॥ 3-78-2 ॥
english translation
आगतायां तु वैदर्भ्यां सपुत्रायां नलॊ नृपः वर्तयाम आस मुदितॊ देवराड इव नन्दने ॥ ३-७८-३ ॥
'With the arrival of the princess of Vidarbha, along with her son and daughter, King Nala began to spend his days in joy, akin to the chief of the celestials in the gardens of Nandana.' ॥ 3-78-3 ॥
english translation
तथा परकाशतां यातॊ जम्बूद्वीपे ऽथ राजसु पुनः सवे चावसद राज्ये परत्याहृत्य महायशाः ॥ ३-७८-४ ॥
'And the king of eternal renown, having reclaimed his kingdom and risen to prominence among the monarchs of Jambudvipa, began to reign once more.' ॥ 3-78-4 ॥
english translation
ईजे च विविधैर यज्ञैर विधिवत सवाप्तदक्षिणैः तथा तवम अपि राजेन्द्र ससुहृद वक्ष्यसे ऽचिरात ॥ ३-७८-५ ॥
'And he duly performed numerous sacrifices, offering generous gifts to the Brahmanas. O great king, you too shall soon shine brightly with your kin and relatives.' ॥ 3-78-5 ॥
