बृहदश्व उवाच एवं विलपमाना सा नष्टसंज्ञेव भारत आरुरॊह महद वेश्म पुण्यश्लॊकदिदृष्कया ॥ ३-७१-१६ ॥
'Thus lamenting, as if lost to her senses, Damayanti, O Bharata, ascended the terrace of her mansion, yearning to behold the righteous Nala.' ॥ 3-71-16 ॥

ततॊ मध्यमकक्षायां ददर्श रथम आस्थितम ऋतुपर्णं महीपालं सहवार्ष्णेयबाहुकम ॥ ३-७१-१७ ॥
'In the courtyard of the central mansion, she saw King Rituparna on the chariot alongside Varshneya and Vahuka.' ॥ 3-71-17 ॥

ततॊ ऽवतीर्य वार्ष्णेयॊ बाहुकश च रथॊत्तमात हयांस तान अवमुच्याथ सथापयाम आसतू रथम ॥ ३-७१-१८ ॥
'After disembarking from that magnificent vehicle, Varshneya and Vahuka unyoked the steeds and carefully placed the chariot in its designated spot.' ॥ 3-71-18 ॥

सॊ ऽवतीर्य रथॊपस्थाद ऋतुपर्णॊ नराधिपः उपतस्थे महाराज भीमं भीमपराक्रमम ॥ ३-७१-१९ ॥
'King Rituparna, alighting from his chariot, approached Bhima, who was renowned for his formidable prowess.' ॥ 3-71-19 ॥

तं भीमः परतिजग्राह पूजया परया ततः अकस्मात सहसा पराप्तं सत्रीमन्त्रं न सम विन्दति ॥ ३-७१-२० ॥
'In turn, Bhima welcomed him with profound respect, recognizing that a distinguished guest is a rare treasure, especially when circumstances do not afford one an opportunity to entertain them.' ॥ 3-71-20 ॥
