[व] गते तु विदुरे राजन्न आश्रमं पाण्डवान परति धृतराष्ट्रॊ महाप्राज्ञः पर्यतप्यत भारत ॥ ३-७-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, "O king, after Vidura departed for the Pandavas' abode, Dhritarashtra, the wise monarch of the Bharata lineage, regretted his actions deeply. Reflecting on Vidura's immense wisdom in both war and peace and contemplating the future rise of the Pandavas, Dhritarashtra was overcome with anguish."' ॥ 3-7-1 ॥
english translation
[va] gate tu vidure rAjanna AzramaM pANDavAna parati dhRtarASTrò mahAprAjJaH paryatapyata bhArata ॥ 3-7-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस सभा दवारम आगम्य विदुर समर मॊहितः समक्षं पार्थिवेन्द्राणां पपाताविष्ट चेतनः ॥ ३-७-२ ॥
'He (Vidura), having come to the entrance of the assembly hall, overcome by grief, fell down unconscious in the presence of the lords of the earth (the kings/rulers).' ॥ 3-7-2 ॥
english translation
sa sabhA davArama Agamya vidura samara mòhitaH samakSaM pArthivendrANAM papAtAviSTa cetanaH ॥ 3-7-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस तु लब्ध्वा पुनः संज्ञां समुत्थाय महीतलात समीपॊपस्थितं राजा संजयं वाक्यम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-७-३ ॥
'Upon regaining consciousness, the king rose and, turning to Sanjaya.' ॥ 3-7-3 ॥

sa tu labdhvA punaH saMjJAM samutthAya mahItalAta samIpòpasthitaM rAjA saMjayaM vAkyama abravIta ॥ 3-7-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभराता मम सुहृच चैव साक्षाद धर्म इवापरः तस्य समृत्वाद्य सुभृशं हृदयं दीर्यतीव मे ॥ ३-७-४ ॥
'My brother and friend, who is indeed like the god of justice himself! Thinking of him today, my heart is consumed with grief.' ॥ 3-7-4 ॥

bharAtA mama suhRca caiva sAkSAda dharma ivAparaH tasya samRtvAdya subhRzaM hRdayaM dIryatIva me ॥ 3-7-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतम आनयस्व धर्मज्ञं मम भरातरम आशु वै इति बरुवन स नृपतिः करुणं पर्यदेवयत ॥ ३-७-५ ॥
'Go, bring my brother to me without delay, for he is well-versed in morality!' ॥ 3-7-5 ॥

tama Anayasva dharmajJaM mama bharAtarama Azu vai iti baruvana sa nRpatiH karuNaM paryadevayata ॥ 3-7-5 ॥
