ते चॊद्यमाना विधिना बाहुकेन हयॊत्तमाः समुत्पेतुर इवाकाशं रथिनं मॊहयन्न इव ॥ ३-६९-२१ ॥
'And those finest of steeds, skillfully urged by Vahuka, leaped into the sky, bewildering the charioteer.' ॥ 3-69-21 ॥
english translation
te còdyamAnA vidhinA bAhukena hayòttamAH samutpetura ivAkAzaM rathinaM mòhayanna iva ॥ 3-69-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथा तु दृष्ट्वा तान अश्वान वहतॊ वातरंहसः अयॊध्याधिपतिर धीमान विस्मयं परमं ययौ ॥ ३-६९-२२ ॥
'And seeing those steeds, swift as the wind, drawing the chariot with such vigor, the blessed king of Ayodhya was filled with profound amazement.' ॥ 3-69-22 ॥
english translation
tathA tu dRSTvA tAna azvAna vahatò vAtaraMhasaH ayòdhyAdhipatira dhImAna vismayaM paramaM yayau ॥ 3-69-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरथघॊषं तु तं शरुत्वा हयसंग्रहणं च तत वार्ष्णेयश चिन्तयाम आस बाहुकस्य हयज्ञताम ॥ ३-६९-२३ ॥
'Noticing the rattle of the chariot and the deft handling of the steeds, Varshneya contemplated Vahuka's remarkable skill in horse management.' ॥ 3-69-23 ॥

rathaghòSaM tu taM zarutvA hayasaMgrahaNaM ca tata vArSNeyaza cintayAma Asa bAhukasya hayajJatAma ॥ 3-69-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकिं नु सयान मातलिर अयं देवराजस्य सारथिः तथा हि लक्षणं वीरे बाहुके दृश्यते महत ॥ ३-६९-२४ ॥
'He mused, "Could he be Matali, the charioteer of the celestial king? For I perceive the same remarkable signs of heroism in Vahuka."' ॥ 3-69-24 ॥

kiM nu sayAna mAtalira ayaM devarAjasya sArathiH tathA hi lakSaNaM vIre bAhuke dRzyate mahata ॥ 3-69-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशालिहॊत्रॊ ऽथ किं नु सयाद धयानां कुलतत्त्ववित मानुषं समनुप्राप्तॊ वपुः परमशॊभनम ॥ ३-६९-२५ ॥
'Now, what could Shalihotra be, the expert in the essence of horse breeds, Having attained a supremely beautiful human form?' ॥ 3-69-25 ॥
