घॊरान नादान विमुञ्चन्तॊ निपेतुर धरणीतले वृक्षेष्व आसज्य संभग्नाः पतिता विषमेषु च तथा तन निहतं सर्वं समृद्धं सार्थमण्डलम ।। ३-६२-१० ।।

sanskrit

'Some cried out loudly as they fell to the ground, while others, in fear, scrambled up trees, and some stumbled on the uneven terrain. O king, thus unexpectedly attacked by the large herd of elephants, the prosperous caravan suffered tremendous losses.' ।। 3-62-10 ।।

english translation

ghòrAna nAdAna vimuJcantò nipetura dharaNItale vRkSeSva Asajya saMbhagnAH patitA viSameSu ca tathA tana nihataM sarvaM samRddhaM sArthamaNDalama || 3-62-10 ||
