साब्रवीत तान ऋषीन नाहम अरण्यस्यास्य देवता न चाप्य अस्य गिरेर विप्रा न नद्या देवताप्य अहम ॥ ३-६१-७० ॥

'Damayanti responded to the ascetics, saying, "O Brahmanas, I am neither the goddess of this forest, nor of this mountain, nor of this river."' ॥ 3-61-70 ॥

sAbravIta tAna RSIna nAhama araNyasyAsya devatA na cApya asya girera viprA na nadyA devatApya ahama ॥ 3-61-70 ॥
