चत्वार एकतॊ वेदाः साङ्गॊपाङ्गाः सविस्तराः सवधीता मानवश्रेष्ठ सत्यम एकं किलैकतः ॥ ३-६१-१६ ॥
'O tiger among men, the four Vedas, with all their vastness, including the Angas and Upangas, when thoroughly studied, stand equally alongside a singular truth.' ॥ 3-61-16 ॥
english translation
तस्माद अर्हसि शत्रुघ्न सत्यं कर्तुं नरेश्वर उक्तवान असि यद वीर मत्सकाशे पुरा वचः ॥ ३-६१-१७ ॥
'Therefore, O slayer of foes, it is fitting for you, O lord of men, to uphold what you once declared before me. Alas, O hero!' ॥ 3-61-17 ॥
english translation
हा वीर ननु नामाहम इष्टा किल तवानघ अस्याम अटव्यां घॊरायां किं मां न परतिभाषसे ॥ ३-६१-१८ ॥
'O warrior! O Nala, sinless one, I am on the brink of perishing in this dreadful forest. Why do you not answer me?' ॥ 3-61-18 ॥
english translation
भर्त्सयत्य एष मां रौद्रॊ वयात्तास्यॊ दारुणाकृतिः अरण्यराट कषुधाविष्टः किं मां न तरातुम अर्हसि ॥ ३-६१-१९ ॥
'This dreadful lord of the forest, with a grim visage and gaping jaws, hungry and fearsome, fills me with terror. Is it not fitting for you to rescue me?' ॥ 3-61-19 ॥
english translation
न मे तवदन्या सुभगे परिया इत्य अब्रवीस तदा ताम ऋतां कुरु कल्याणपुरॊक्तां भारतीं नृप ॥ ३-६१-२० ॥
'You were always accustomed to say, 'Besides you, there is no one dear to me.' O blessed one, O king, fulfill now the promise you made.' ॥ 3-61-20 ॥
